Would You Stop Pulling My Pants Down

For those that have read my postings on a regular basis, you are familiar with my comments that reference my two kids, my lovable little cocker spaniels, Jake and Caleb. Jake is now 7 years old and Caleb is just past a year and a half now. Now, no one would ever get the idea that my kids are spoiled or that I am a doting Daddy - yea right!

It seems lately, that as each day passes, Caleb becomes more of a Daddy's boy and more loving and clinging than the day prior. He has basically become Daddy's little shadow. He has to constantly be with me, sitting or lying beside me, always touching me.

He has also recently learned that he can growl. He growls at anything and everything. He does not even have to have a reason to growl. He just growls. You can watch him and see the delight he gets from hearing this new sound he has discovered he can project from his mouth. I have had many cockers and they have all gone through this stage and eventually grow out of it.

His newest thing is attacking my pants. I like to wear loose fitting lounging pants around the house. If I get up to go anywhere in the house, you can be assured that Caleb is going to be right there behind me, going with me. The difference now is that he has become obsessed with the flowing loose fabric that is my lounging pants. I can no longer walk through the house without him either pulling at the bottom of the pants leg or his newest thing, biting my butt and pulling my pants completely down. He does seem to get a real kick out of this one. I keep telling him "would you stop pulling my pants down", but he has a mind of his own.

I just have to make certain that I don't wear my lounging pants when company comes over now. It could be a real shocker for someone to see my baby suddenly de-pant me in the living room.

Aren't our kids wonderfully entertaining and great companionship? With Caleb, I guess you could say, "at least you have someone wanting to pull your pants down".

I posted a pic of the two of them on this blog posting, for those of you that have never seen my little boys. Yes, Caleb is the one sitting with his head up, looking very alert, while Jake is the one with his head laying on the floor, as if to say, finally a moment of peace and rest from this little brother of mine.
